Nothing has changed. Legislation has been put up to vote and shot down, both for LGBTQIA+ protections and for Gun control. Republicans don’t care despite their “Pray for Orlando” Tweets and false condolences.

Nothing has changed on here. I personally was shot down for wanting to be included in something celebrating my identity. Because in addition to be M-spec and Trans and Latinx, I’m also Ace. I’m an Ace person who is constantly being told they aren’t welcome in a community that even by its strictest expectations is supposed to include me. But How Dare I ask to be included in something that I should be included in.

Nothing has changed. People are blaming a religion when they should be blaming an ideology. The idea that people who are different are lesser and should be treated as such. People who love and care as much as any other, but differently. But while people condemn a religion, they still stab us in the back as they fight to condemn us.

Nothing has changed. And I’m sick and tired of the utter bullshit that people are spewing to try and hurt me and mine. Of them trying to put up laws that can and have killed us. But they don’t care. They only care about their religious beliefs (despite the ideas being the same as those as the very religion they’re condemning).

Nothing has changed. People are letting it fade. People are forgetting… or hoping we’ll forget.

Nothing has changed…. but we’re still fighting for it to. We’re not forgetting.

Orlando has changed. Even if it’s a little bit. Even if it’s the increase in rainbows, the pride flags suddenly showing, Orlando Strong signs. Our politicians can hope we’ll forget… We know this in their complacency. But we will not.
